OK, so I have previously talked on here about how the members of Pissed Jeans used to play together in a different configuration as The Gatecrashers. What I didn’t know until just now was that they also used to be the hilarious wrestling-themed joke grindcore band The Ultimate Warriors. I have a 21 song 7 inch by the Ultimate Warriors that features songs with great titles like “Don’t Yell Names Of Stupid Metal Bands Between Our Songs” and “I’m Not Hardcore Enough To Like Star Wars.” The music is a sloppy mess, but it’s a FUN sloppy mess—as proven by the 22 second video above. I got that video from their old label’s website, and if you’re curious, their label has also offered up a free download of their entire discography (it’s 99 tracks, but if it lasts longer than half an hour I’ll be shocked). The post is a few years old, and the mediafire link is the only one that still works, but if you’re curious at all, I highly recommend it. It’s some silly shit, but sometimes that’s just what the doctor ordered.
Hahaha I need this soon if only for the titles of the songs. Being members of Pissed Jeans I’m sure it will also be musically interesting even if it’s a joke grindcore band.
